Minor service change on Tuesday 7 May 2024
From Tuesday 7th May 2024 we will be introducing brand new services to our Worcester Network in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.
Service 27 (Worcester – Battenhall) - New Hourly service running Monday to Saturday connecting City Centre with London Road, Camp Hill Road and Battenhall Avenue.
Service 28 (Worcester - Baynham Estate – Sixth Form College) - New service running 5 times a day Monday to Saturday linking the Baynham Estate with the City Centre. One return journey will operate in both the morning and afternoon peaks offering new direct links at busy times from the Baynham Estate.
Service 45 (Worcester – Sixth Form College) – A few journeys will be replaced by new service 28 (see above). The new combined 28/45 services will still provide an hourly service to Red Hill Top and Sixth Form College. Peak time journeys for students are unaffected and will remain as is.
Clifton Corridor: Services 310, 311, 313, 314, 315 & 316 (Worcester – Clifton-upon-Teme) – New services linking Worcester with Lower Broadheath, Martley & Clifton-upon-Teme with less frequent links to Rushwick, Upper Broadheath, Hallow, Grimley, Wichenford and Hanley Broadheath. A peak time journey will also extend to Worcester Sixth Form College too.

Upcoming Diversions May 2024
TUESDAY 07 MAY – SERVICE 675
Due to the closure of West Malvern Road between the junctions of Old Hollow and Old Road on Tuesday 07 May for 4 days between 0930 and 1530, service 675 will need to go direct via Wyche Cutting.
Services before and after these times will be unaffected and can operate normal route, including services to and from John Masefield High School.
TUESDAY 28 AND WEDNESDAY 29 MAY – SERVICE 675
Due to the closure of West Malvern Road between the junctions of Old Hollow and Old Road on Tuesday 07 May between 0930 and 1530, service 675 will need to go direct via Wyche Cutting.
Services before and after these times will be unaffected and can operate normal route.
TUESDAY 07 MAY – SERVICE 27
Due to the closure of Camp Hill Road on Tuesday 07 May, service 27 will need to divert in both directions. Service will use Battenhall Road instead of Camp Hill Road on this day. Battle Road will also not be served.
TUESDAY 07 MAY – SERVICE 311
Due to the closure of Claphill Lane by Severn Trent Water on Tuesday 07 May for a period of 28 days, service 311 will need to divert via an alternative route in both directions. Claphill Lane will not be served, however Rushwick will continue to be served in all other areas.
Upcoming Diversions from 2 April
SERVICE 675/676 – WEST MALVERN ROAD
- Due to the closure of West Malvern Road on Wednesday 03 April 2024 for 3 days for roadworks, services 675 and 676 will need to divert via Wyche Road in both directions. A shuttle bus service should be provided by Worcestershire County Council although we have not had details sent of this.
SERVICE 44 – MALVERN ROAD
- Due to the closure of Malvern Road between Hanbury Park Road and Lower Wick island in Worcester, service 44 will be diverted on Tuesday 02 April for 3 days. Service will be diverted via Bromwich Road in both directions serving all bus stop along this road in lieu of the ones omitted on Malvern Road. This includes the inbound to Worcester bus stop on the roundabout itself.
SERVICE 35/144 - FOREGATE STREET
Due to the closure of Foregate Street in Worcester on Sunday 07 April for resurfacing works, services 35 and 144 will be diverted out of Worcester City Centre.
Service 35 – This service will be diverted after Crowngate Bus Station and will be unable to serve Sansome Street bus stop. It will resume normal route in Lowesmoor and serve the Lowesmoor bus stop as usual.
Service 144 – This service will be diverted after Crowngate Bus Station and will be unable to serve Foregate Street Rail Station bus stop. It will resume normal route on The Tything and serve all other bus stops.
PUBLIC REALM FOOTPATH RECONSTRUCTION SCHEME – WORCESTER CITY CENTRE
We also have a closure on Angel Street in Worcester City Centre from Monday 08 April for approximately 14 weeks.
- This will mean services coming towards Worcester from Bath Road and London Road will need to divert via Cathedral and Deansway and access Crowngate Bus Station via The Butts. This means City Walls Road will not be served for this period of time.
- Services arriving from Lowesmoor will be diverting from St. Nicholas’ Street via Foregate Street, Castle Street and access Crowngate Bus Station via Angel Place.
- Services arriving from The Tything will be diverting via Castle Street and access Crowngate Bus Station via Angel Place.
- Services arriving from the West of the City are unaffected by this.
We are expecting severe delays in peak periods during this closure to all services affected.
